Visiting Stourbridge Speakers Club

Need help with your public speaking confidence and skills? Visiting us at Stourbridge Speakers Club is the best way to find out what we do and how we help you to become a more confident and effective speaker.

We invite prospective members to come along for two meetings without any charge or obligation. After that we hope that you will join us. Or if you need a little more time to make up your mind, you can pay £5 a meeting from your third meeting onwards.

If you are visiting us at Stourbridge Speakers Club for the first time, we ask you to get in touch via the form below prior to the meeting. Please arrive by around 7.45pm so that we have time to chat to you and introduce you to a few members before the meeting starts promptly at 8.00pm.

For meeting dates please go to Where & When. If you are under-18, please read the note on our Membership page.

Please complete the form below if you are visiting for the first time.

If you’d like a chat before visiting, give us a call on 07544 198 309.

How To Find Us

We meet at the Stourbridge Institute, Bell Street, DY8 1AE. At the traffic lights on the western side of the Stourbridge ring road, turn right in front of Tesco into New Street/Bell Street. The Institute has its own car park, accessed from Bell Street opposite the Crystal Leisure Centre. Entrance to the Institute is from the car park. Click here for a map showing our location. (The map pointer is by the entrance to the Institute from the car park.)

The Institute has secured doors. Our meetings start at 8.00pm on the dot, so on our club nights there will be someone stationed by the door to admit members and visitors from around 7.30pm until 7.55pm. If you arrive after that time you will have to ring the bell and wait to be admitted.

Our club members and visitors are welcome to use the Institute’s bar before and after meetings as well as during the interval. Access from the bar to our meeting room is via the snooker room. We ask everyone to be respectful of those playing snooker as you pass through the room.
